AMALFI
The Amalfi Coast is renown to be one of the most impressive coastal drives in the
world.One
of Italy’s maritime republics, which is dominated by the Cathedral of St. Andrew
and the Cloisters of Paradise. Visit the arsenal museum and the antique paper
mill factory. A visit to Amalfi is generally associated with a visit to
Positano and Ravello. |

POSITANO
Small
village famous for its houses built into the rock. Known also for its fashion
‘Positano Moda’, which is sold in many of its chic shops. Famous waterfront
restaurants, which is worth visiting not only during the day but also by night.
A visit to Positano is usually combined with a visit to Amalfi and Ravello. |

RAVELLO
Situated
360m above sea level, perched above the town of Amalfi. Here one can not only
admire the views over the Amalfi Coast, but must pay a visit to the Villa
Rufolo said to be where Wagner was inspired to compose the Parsifal and the
Villa Cimbrone. The main square houses its small but interesting Cathedral
dedicated to Saint Pantaleone. One can visit Ravello combining an excursion
with Positano and Amalfi |

SORRENTO
Sorrento has a very lively atmosphere, with its interesting historical centre
and two very interesting provincial museums – one exhibiting Sorrentine art and
furniture dating from the 16th to 18th C and the other exhibiting the history of
their local craft, inlaid woodwork. An ideal base to explore the Campania
Region. From its port jetfoils & ferries depart for the Island of Capri,
Ischia and Naples City. |

NAPLES

is said to be one of the oldest cities in Europe, dating back to the 6C, invaded
by the Romans, Normans, Aragons, Spaniards and the Bourbons until the
unification of Italy. At present Naples is being placed back on the map for
visitors, it’s the cultural and commercial centre of Southern Italy. Visit the
National Archaeological museum where most of the principal finds of Pompeii and
Herculaneum are displayed. The Cathedral of St. Gennaro, Church & Cloisters of
St. Chiara, the Margellina, Galleria Umberto and St. Carlo Opera House are a few
of the many places to explore around the city. |

POMPEII

CASERTA ROYAL PALACE
Chosen
by the Bourbon King Charles III for his Royal Palace, built between 1752 and
1774 the palace comprises of 1200 rooms, 4 courtyards and 250 acres of
impressive landscaped gardens with its superb fountain stretching the length of
the gardens |

PAESTUM
Greek
temples said to be better preserved than any to be found in Greece.
Today the Temple of Poseidon, the Temple of Ceres and the Basilica standard
amongst wild flowers and herbs. The museum situated opposite
the site houses many fine artefacts found at the site including the famous
‘Divers Tomb’ mural. |
