Best sunset around

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Hilton Head. The condo was nice, great views, very quiet area. We were able to enjoy sunset each night also seeing dolphins every night. We will definitely return to this condo for a long weekend. There are bike rentals right across the road so don't feel like you need to rent from the recommended bike shop, it is 3.2 miles away. We parked our car all weekend and biked everyone.I would recommend bringing a travel fan, the bedrooms tend to be a little warm. Overall, a great weekend!

Beautiful place, very clean, well kept. The views were awesome, nice balconies, overlooked the pool but noise never bothered us at all. We loved the layout of the place and had everything we needed for a great week. Highly recommend!

My husband and myself along with another couple spent a week at 1871 Beachside Tennis. The week was phenomenal. The condo was impeccably furnished and we found it sparkling clean. We loved the quiet location.

Great experience! The host made it super easy to get to and from the property with parking instructions/pass. Quiet, family friendly beach - great for walking but still close to amenities just across the street. House was very clean - we did have to child-proof a few things but we did that so they wouldn’t get broken! Loved the provided towels; so helpful! Sunset is just outside this unit & made out evenings extra special. All family members enjoyed our time here!

Great location! We had never been to HHI and this was such a great place to visit. We watched a pod of dolphins right outside our window! Across the street were bike rentals and the Salty Dog Cafe. Great family trip.

This condo really is amazing. The location simply can't be beat - you're on the southern tip of the island and the widlife is incredible. I saw other reviews mention dolphins and hoped to see them. Well, we saw them more time than I can count! So many dolphins, then add on pelicans, ospreys, hermit crabs, sand crabs, starfish (tons and tons of starfish!), and even an alligator while driving back from the stables. The rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of seating in the family room and space for the kids to stretch out and play. Those large windows were amazing - you can't beat those southern sunsets! The buildings where this condo is happens to be in a great place. You're steps away from Salty Dog but the beach was never even remotely crowded and the pool is large enough for everyone to enjoy. It's definitely a family-vibe sort of place so we fit right in with the early risers and even earlier to bed folks. The double porches were wonderful and we spent ample time on both watching the world go by. The kitchen was decently stocked but we got done what we needed to do. I would highly suggest sharpening all the knives - they're dangerously dull but that honestly is my only (minimal) complaint. Check in was nice - we were able to get in a few hours early which was fantastic.......except the code we were given didn't work. Luckily a quick call got that all straighened out and we got right in...........where we realized the fridge was leaking. Another quick call and a pair of repair workers were there within the hour. The icemaker never worked the entire week we were there, but it didn't bother us as the freezer still worked just fine. This was our second trip to HHI and first time in Sea Pines/South Beach but it definitely won't be our last. We hope to make it back to this exact same condo next year. We loved our stay. Location was great for access to the pool and beach with views from both balconies. It's also just across from the Salty dog which is convenient. The unit itself was clean and well equipped with everything we needed although we didn't cook. The only con is the master shower is in need of an update. It was "cleaned" but needed a new door as it was rusty and stained as well as the grout in and around the shower. Again it was cleaned but without replacement that stuff will not go away. Overwise I had no complaints and would stay again.Date of arrival - May 28, 2022

We love South Beach and have stayed at several condos in this complex. This is one of the more updated units we've rented.Be mindful that the paperwork you receive will say checkout is at 11am, but it's actually 10am. We loved Beachside Tennis. Beautiful views and wildlife. Communication was on/off before our stay. Some emails were responded to, others not. A few things didn't work - jacuzzi jets (disappointing). Our experience could not have been better. This property is located in a gorgeous setting with pool and beach views. It was exceptionally clean , comfortable and organized. We loved that the pool area has gas grills for use also. We’ve never had an easier check in experience. We've stayed at a number of units in this complex and this one was above average in terms of lightness and cleanliness. Master bath commode had an issue that if there had been another couple would have posed a problem. Beautiful Oceanfront in Sea Pines

This OF condo is at South Beach, in Sea Pines. Very spacious throughout - huge bathrooms & bedrooms with gorgeous views of Daufuskie Island & the Atlantic. Great pool area & grounds. Small beach right in front of condo, but larger beach was just around the corner. Check-in & communication was seamless. Salty Dog is just across the road and bicycles are for rent in the parking lot. The only criticism is the balcony off the living area was virtually unusable - carpet stayed wet and pieces came back in on your shoes. Gorgeous View and Pool and Very Clean!

The apartment was very clean and a great size for our group of 5. The living room was comfortable and nice and it has 2 outdoor balconies, with gorgeous views of the beach and Dafuskie Island across the water. The decor and the building are dated, but I think the cleanliness of the apartment makes up for that. Each bedroom had own full bath- dated but everything worked just fine. Also has a super front load washer and dryer. The pool is really nice- beautiful, large and just off the beach- never crowded, plenty of chairs and tables with umbrellas. The pool cleaners were there every morning and the pool lights came on at night. The beach was narrow, definitely could be used but there are signs that say "drop offs and rip currents" so we were less comfortable with our 8 year old swimming there. So, we rode our bikes down the beach about 10 minutes to Tower Beach. There is no lifeguard but the beach patrol is around and there are bathrooms and showers.We have been to Sea Pines before, but have not stayed in the South Beach area-- it is a little less crowded and "trafficky"- on the roads AND bike trails and we really liked it for the busy season. We ordered in a couple of nights from the Salty Dog. You can book a tennis or pickleball court right there by calling the South Beach Racquet Club. We also biked down (20 minutes) to the Sea Pines Racquet Club by HarbourTown. I think it would be a 25 minute bike to HarbourTown or the Sea Pines Beach Club. Only thing I would recommend to make this VRBO absolutely perfect... beach chairs and umbrella.
