Dining Around Hilton Head Island

Dining Recommendations From the Locals

Italian

Pomodori. This is one of our favorites on the Island. Small space but large portions and everything is house made. Mark suggests the “orecchiette con salsiccia”.

Ombra. Feed not only your bellies, but your souls, with award-winning Italian cuisine.

Michael Anthony’s Cucini Italiana. An acclaimed culinary destination, earning five-star reviews, national recognition and numerous awards for quality service, exceptional wine list and fine Italian cuisine.

Mexican

Blue Laguna. Susan recommends their shrimp ceviche. If you want authentic Mexican, Karen gives their Molcajete Mexicano 5 stars.

Fiesta Fresh. One of the best bargains on Hilton Head and a favorite of local islanders.

Amigos. Go for the BBQ Chicken salad, their signature entrée.

French

Charlie’s L’Etoile Verte. Hands down, this is Susan’s favorite French food on the island. Try their “Pan Roasted Bluffton Oysters” (when in season) or their house made “Pate Maison”. Sit at the bar and enjoy a sinfully delicious chocolate martini prepared by Jeff, one of the best and most iconic Hilton Head Island bartenders around.

Kennie B’s French Quarter Café.  "Home of Hilton Head's Own Cajun Seafood Restaurant".

Continental Cuisine

Sage Room. The best filet on Hilton Head...the Sage Room Benedict, filet mignon topped with a poached egg and bearnaise sauce. Do yourself a favor and experience this islander favorite. A bit pricy, but worth every penny. Sit at the bar and watch the chefs prepare your meal in their open kitchen.

The Studio.  An artistic dining experience.

The Jazz Corner. An intimate, elegant setting to enjoy live music while you dine on delicious meals. Reservations are a must and should be made at least a month in advance.

Sunset Grille. Come see us for great food and enjoy the island’s greatest waterfront views!

Prime. Located within the Omni Hotel in Palmetto Dunes. Serene dining steps from the ocean. The BEST fried calamari on the Island.

Crane’s Tavern. Reservations are a must at this popular spot.

Greek

It’s Greek to Me. One of Mark and Susan’s “go to” spots. Try the Greek salad with grilled chicken!

The Crazy Crab. The islander's place for fresh seafood for over 30 years.

Fish Camp on Broad Creek. While you enjoy lunch, brunch or dinner, you’re treated to a taste of Low Country living in this historic waterfront setting. We have something for everyone. Welcome to Camp!

Old Oyster Factory. Overlooking Broad Creek, serving fresh-caught seafood, tender steaks, and delicious desserts, there’s something for the whole family, including one of Hilton Head’s best panoramic views of the marshland landscape.

Pubs

The Earle of Sandwich. The best Rueben on the Island! Two other top favorites to satisfy your taste for something special are the “Earle” or the “Duke”. The beer is cold, the service is fast and the food is great. Budget-friendly.

Reilley’s Irish Pub. Sizzling steaks, fresh seafood, and pub sandwiches with a sophisticated, warm ambiance reminiscent of a true Boston pub. Dine indoors or out. We strive to give the best quality food, drink and service anywhere.ee options available.
