Dining Around Hilton Head Island

Dining Recommendations From the Locals

Italian

Pomodori. This is one of our favorites on the Island. Small space but large portions and everything is house made. Mark suggests the “orecchiette con salsiccia”.

Ombra. Feed not only your bellies, but your souls, with award-winning Italian cuisine.

Blue Laguna. Susan recommends their shrimp ceviche. If you want authentic Mexican, Karen gives their Molcajete Mexicano 5 stars.

Fiesta Fresh. One of the best bargains on Hilton Head and a favorite of local islanders.

Amigos. Go for the BBQ Chicken salad, their signature entrée.

French

Charlie’s L’Etoile Verte. Hands down, this is Susan’s favorite French food on the island. Try their “Pan Roasted Bluffton Oysters” (when in season) or their house-made “Pate Maison”. Sit at the bar and enjoy a sinfully delicious chocolate martini prepared by Jeff, one of the best and most iconic Hilton Head Island bartenders around.

Kennie B’s French Quarter Café.  "Home of Hilton Head's Own Cajun Seafood Restaurant".

Continental Cuisine

Sage Room. The best filet on Hilton Head...the Sage Room Benedict, filet mignon topped with a poached egg and bearnaise sauce. Do yourself a favor and experience this islander favorite. A bit pricy, but worth every penny. Sit at the bar and watch the chefs prepare your meal in their open kitchen.

The Studio.  An artistic dining experience.

The Jazz Corner. An intimate, elegant setting to enjoy live music while you dine on delicious meals. Reservations are a must and should be made at least a month in advance.
